This summer, colour is king and for this season we have a fabulous selection of handbags from Italian designers Arcadia and Bonfanti.

Arcadia, founded by master artisan Tonino Tondi on the Adriatic coast of eastern Italy, rapidly gained a reputation for producing stylish fashion handbags. Joined by his sons Pasquale and Sergio in 1986 the brand expanded to International level. Today Arcadia is famous the World over for it's seasonal fashion collections in their signature embossed patent leathers that also keep their Italian heritage and style.

Arcadia have embraced this trend and colour is prevalent in their spring summer 2016 range. Arcadia patent bags are available in their signature printed leather in bright red, aqua, yellow and white. Plain leathers are perforated to show flashes of colour prints on an inner layer and bright printed 4 leaf clover in blues, reds and greens.

Bonfanti started from a small workshop, just after the war in the North of Italy producing leather goods for the local area. In the 1960s with sons Angelo and Terenzio developing new collections, their sales expanded throughout Italy and Europe. Today Anna Bonfanti labelled collections include an eclectic range that uses iconic fabrics such as Scottish Harris Tweed and Liberty prints.

This summer Bonfanti are offering a classic alternative for your accessories, lots of colour but using iconic Liberty art prints with Italian style and leather trims. A selection of William Morris prints, Strawberry Thief in bright blue with splashes of red and Lodden in pink and aqua blue plus a more contemporary pattern named Betsy who's creator is unknown.
