Woven by hand by local artisans, it is a million miles away from mass production.Protected by law, Harris Tweed must be hand woven by an islander in the Outer Hebrides and made from pure virgin wool that has been dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides. Tweed that does not adhere to these conditions and specifications cannot be labelled Harris Tweed.

In recent years Anna Bonfanti has embraced the use of textiles with Italian leather into their fashion collections.
