Chiarugi Briefcases and Leather Goods

Based in the beautiful medieval town of Fucecchio just outside Florence, Chiarugi has always been one of Attavanti's key suppliers and one of our most trusted brands. The reason is simple, their whole philosophy and attention to detail, providing consistently high quality leather goods that are beautifully made and a joy to own, are a privilege to sell.

This is a brand that was formed in 1969 by Remo Chiarugi, a man with real passion to produce fine leather goods using traditional tuscan methods. This passion undoubtedly stemmed from the magnificent region of Tuscany where he lived, an area steeped in the history of leather production where the ancient craft has been passed down through the centuries. This passion has now been passed down to his son Emiliano who now runs the company.

Emiliano has taken the Chiarugi brand to a whole new level. As well as maintaining the traditional style leather briefcases and handbags, he has also designed and produced a stunning and very functional contemporary ranges that appeal to the modern man about town. With Emiliano now at the helm, the company has grown and has now become a worldwide brand selling to countries that including Russia and the far east where the name has become synonymous with real quality and Italian style.

The leathers that are used and their respect for this raw product is key to the integrity of their luxury pieces. All the leathers used bare the trademark of the Pelle Conciata al Vegetale in Tosca, this is a genuine Italian vegetable tanned leather consortium. This means that the leather used is of guaranteed quality and is sourced from one of a small group of tanneries based between Pisa and Florence. It is also an assurance of a high standard of production using traditional methods. These leathers will stand the test of time and their aging will not compromise its resistance.

Chiarugi Firenze are also members of AIMPES Associazione Pellettieri Italiani. This guarantees that the products are completely Made in Italy and they also provide the We Love Italian Bag label which guarantees the quality and authenticity of the item.

Chiarugi specialise in producing leather briefcase, messenger bags, travel bags and shoulder bags and presently the brand has a number of collections available to suit all tastes. Classic is a traditional style with a modern twist, City, a contemporary collection using contrasting coloured leather aimed at a younger audience, Globe, a range of functional bags using supple, strong leather and finally the Orange Label collection which has a much more relaxed casual feel about it.

To sum up, anyone investing in a luxury Chiarugi bag will not be disappointed and will no doubt delight in using it on a daily basis.
